The best crypto prop firms right now are Velotrade, Breakout, HyroTrader, Propr and Kraken Prop. We checked 27 active firms against their own terms on 27 October 2026 and scored the crypto-first and on-chain firms on five equal criteria. All ten firms in the table above trade crypto perpetual futures or CFDs, not spot. Each one leads on something different, so the right choice depends on the rule you are most likely to break and how you want to be paid.

What sets the top five apart
Velotrade keeps the maximum drawdown static from the initial balance on all three plans (7%, 10% or 3%) and links every payout to an Arbiscan transaction. Plans start at $40. The downside is a slow first payout: 14 days after your first funded trade plus five qualifying days, and 0.05% daily funding on crypto positions held at 00:30 UTC.
Breakout has the simplest rules we have seen: a 3% daily limit and a static 3β6% floor, with no consistency rule, minimum days, time limit or news restriction. It starts at $20 for $5,000. Both limits are measured on equity, payouts go out only as USDC on Ethereum, and its leverage annex still disagrees with its own announcement.
HyroTrader runs your challenge on your own Bybit or BloFin demo account at exchange leverage (up to 150x on BTC and ETH), with a static 3β5% daily limit and no per-trade cap. It says plainly that US residents can join, publishes Solana payouts with transaction IDs, and refunds the fee with the first payout. The catches are a 40% evaluation consistency rule and a 5% cap on each payout request.
Propr labels every trade as A-book (routed to Hyperliquid) or B-book and pays USDC on chain on demand from $20, with plans from $25. Its 2-step uses an 8% trailing floor, and every payout sweeps all your profit.
Kraken Prop is Breakout sold inside Kraken Pro: same prices, same limits, payouts as USD or USDG to your Kraken wallet. It excludes Canada, India and the UK and has no API.
Leading on one criterion is not the same as fitting you. Velotrade's static floor means little to a trader who needs a payout within days.
Who leads on price, drawdown and payouts
- Price: Breakout and Kraken Prop, at $20 for $5,000 and $330 for $100,000. See the cheapest crypto prop firms.
- Drawdown room: Velotrade, HyroTrader, Fundedbit and Crypto Fund Trader all offer a 5% daily limit with a 10% static floor on their two-step plans. See static drawdown firms.
- Payouts: Propr pays on chain on demand; HyroTrader pays within 24 hours with public IDs. See prop firms that pay out in crypto.
Eight checks before you buy any challenge
Most challenge buyers never see a payout. In one industry dataset of more than 300,000 accounts, about 14% passed and 7% were paid. No independent source publishes crypto-only pass rates. These checks will not change those odds by themselves, but they stop you buying the wrong rulebook:
- Is the funded account simulated? All 27 firms run simulated funded accounts. What differs is whether the terms say so. See simulated vs real capital.
- When does the daily limit reset, in UTC? We found nine different reset times, and seven firms publish none.
- Static or trailing maximum drawdown on your exact plan? Our trailing vs static guide explains the risk.
- Is there a per-trade loss cap? Six firms cap a single trade's loss or risk. None requires a stop-loss order.
- Is there a consistency rule, and in which phase? Some slow the pass, others block the payout. See consistency rules.
- What is the total cost? Add resets, add-ons, after-pass fees and refunds, not just the sticker.
- Which coin and network will you be paid on? Sending to the wrong network loses the funds.
- Can you join from your country, and when is KYC? See our KYC guide.
How we ranked the best crypto prop firms
Five criteria, 20% each, all scored from the firm's own terms: rule leniency, total cost of a $100,000 account, payout terms, transparency and who can join. Affiliate deals play no part. A firm is disqualified if it is closed or unreachable, publishes no terms, or markets rules that its terms contradict without disclosing it. The nine multi-asset firms are ranked separately on our forex firms with crypto list. Full method on the methodology page.
Narrower lists by need
Where you live comes first: see crypto prop firms for the USA, the UK or India. For a funded account without an evaluation, see instant funding. If you want trading and payouts on chain, see on-chain crypto prop firms. For a payout every day, see daily payout firms.
Firms to avoid
My Crypto Funding and Get Crypto Funded were unreachable when we checked, and FundedBits has been reported closed. Tradeify 247 stopped selling new accounts on 21 October 2026. Fintokei is excluded because it offers no crypto trading. Read the terms twice wherever marketing and terms disagree: Upscale's homepage claims no KYC while its terms require it. Our guide on whether crypto prop firms are legit covers the warning signs, and every firm is in the reviews directory.
