Watch out for

  • Five qualifying days of +0.8% per phase and before the first payout
  • First two payouts capped at 20x the fee; excess is forfeited
  • BTC leverage halves from 10x to 5x once funded

This Velotrade review covers the firm that currently tops our crypto prop rankings with a score of 83. Velotrade is a Hong Kong crypto-first firm that publishes every payout with an Arbiscan transaction link and keeps a static maximum floor on all three of its plans. It is not flawless: a qualifying-day rule and a cap on the first two payouts both deserve attention before you buy.

What Velotrade is and who runs it

The operating company is Velotrade Re Limited, incorporated in Hong Kong in November 2025 at 128 Connaught Road Central, with Hong Kong law and HKIAC arbitration. Funded trading launched in 2026. The founders, named on the About page with their banking backgrounds, are Gianluca Pizzituti (CEO) and Vittorio De Angelis (executive chairman).

They also run Velotrade Management Limited, a trade-finance business founded in 2016. The "$2.5 billion paid out" on the homepage belongs to that invoice-financing company, not to the prop firm. The firm's own risk disclosure says it is unregulated.

Are the on-chain payouts proof of real accounts?

No. The terms (sections 5.1 and 7.1) say all trading happens on demo accounts with real market data and no real capital. An Arbiscan hash proves Velotrade sent a given amount of USDC or USDT to a wallet at a given time. It cannot show whether any request was declined, and section 5.4(g) lets the firm withhold, delay or decline a payout. Velotrade describes mirroring selected positions through "AI-driven hedging", which is a discretionary copy rather than live capital in your name. Our explainer on simulated vs real capital covers this in depth.

Still, the record is real. CryptoSlate matched 60 published payouts worth $32,994 to Arbitrum transfers between 30 May and 12 August 2026, and found no reports of denied payouts. That is why Velotrade leads our on-chain crypto prop firms list.

How the challenge works

Plan Target Daily limit Max loss (static)
CLASSIC 1-Step 10% 4% 7%
CLASSIC 2-Step 10%, then 5% 5% 10%
PRO 1-Step 10% 3% 3%

Accounts range from $5,000 to $200,000 of simulated capital on DXtrade, across desktop, web and mobile. There is no deadline. After passing, you send a photo ID and proof of address less than three months old before the funded account is issued.

The rules that matter most

Drawdown

The daily limit sits below the higher of balance or equity recorded at 00:30 UTC, and everything is measured on equity. The maximum floor is fixed at the starting balance and, per section 8.1(c) of the terms, does not trail profits. The CLASSIC 2-Step recalculates it at the start of Phase 2.

On a $10,000 PRO 1-Step the daily allowance is $300 and the floor is $9,700. With $10,400 recorded at 00:30 UTC, the next day's daily floor is $10,088 while $9,700 stays fixed. One well-known ranking site still describes an end-of-day trailing floor; the terms and the how-it-works page both say static. Model your own levels with the drawdown calculator.

The qualifying-day rule

"No consistency rule" is true, but each phase needs five qualifying days, and a day only counts if it closes with realised profit of at least 0.8% of the starting balance.

The same five days are required again on the funded account before the first payout. Hit 10% in two sessions and you still need three more days of +0.8%. This rule was added on 22 August 2026, and it is the one most likely to slow down a fast trader.

Other restrictions

  • Consistency and stop-loss: neither is required, and there is no per-trade risk cap. See firms with no consistency rule.
  • News: allowed, though "news trading abuse" that exploits platform limits is banned.
  • Weekends: holding allowed, with 0.05% daily funding on crypto positions open at 00:30 UTC.
  • Hedging: within one account only; across accounts or other firms is a soft breach.
  • Copy trading: only from a public signal service into one account.
  • Bots: EAs and the full DXtrade REST and WebSocket API at no extra cost.
  • Banned: HFT, tick scalping, grid trading, feed arbitrage, gambling-sized positions and account rolling.
  • Inactivity: one trade held for 60 seconds every 30 days, or the account is deactivated (reactivation possible within six months).

Leverage drops once funded: BTC goes from 10x to 5x, ETH and SOL from 6x to 5x, mid-caps from 3x to 2x. Forex runs up to 50x in the challenge. A position size that passed may not fit afterwards.

Costs and value per $10K

PRO 1-Step runs from $40 at $5,000 to $1,114 at $200,000. CLASSIC 1-Step costs $67 to $1,075 and CLASSIC 2-Step $54 to $769, both topping out at $100,000. The 90% split adds 20% to any fee.

Including one reset, PRO 1-Step costs $160 per $10,000 at $5K and about $111 at $100K and $200K. CLASSIC 1-Step is around $215 to $268, and CLASSIC 2-Step $154 to $216. PRO is cheapest because its 3% floor is the tightest. Fees are not refunded once you access the platform or trade (section 6.2), and none comes back with a payout. A 20% site-wide sale was running when checked; we record the full prices. Compare across firms on the cheapest crypto prop firms page.

Payouts

Velotrade pays 80%, or 90% with the add-on, in USDC or USDT on Arbitrum. The first request opens 14 days after your first funded trade and after five qualifying days, then weekly. The minimum is $100. Payment is promised within 24 hours of approval, but the account is halted while the review runs.

Three conditions matter:

  • Each payout withdraws the full available balance. Partial withdrawals are not allowed.
  • The first and second payouts are capped at 20 times the challenge fee, and anything above is forfeited (section 5.4(f)). On a $5,000 PRO account that is $800; on $100,000 it is $11,160.
  • The cap lifts from the third payout.

Use the payout calculator to see how the cap affects your first withdrawals.

Who can join

Schedule 1 of the terms restricts North Korea, Iran, Syria, Cuba, Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk plus other sanctioned places. The US is not listed, and US flags appeared on two of the six largest recent payouts. UK and Indian traders are not restricted either. A second account under another identity is a breach.

Recent changes

Velotrade changed nothing in October 2026. We corrected our own record on 8 October: the free challenge is a prize for top players of its free Sprint Trading game, with a limited split and payout cap, not an open offer. We also added the founders and the 20x payout cap. See the rule change log.

Who it suits and who should avoid it

Suits: traders who want proof that payouts happen, a floor that never trails, free API access and a mix of crypto and traditional markets on one account.

Avoid if: you aim to pass in a day or two, need high BTC leverage once funded, or expect a large first withdrawal on a small account.

Velotrade review verdict

Velotrade earns its top ranking on transparency and payout terms: named founders, a named company, public rules, static floors and a verifiable payout trail. The Trustpilot rating is withheld after fake reviews were removed, the qualifying-day rule is stricter than the marketing implies, and the early payout cap can cost you money. Read those two rules, then compare it head to head in Velotrade vs HyroTrader.
