Looking at crypto prop firms by country, the short answer is that most firms accept most traders. The firms with the clearest access are Mubite, whose terms name only Iran, North Korea and Myanmar; Velotrade, whose list covers sanctioned jurisdictions only; and E8 Markets, which publishes both a full list and per-country caps on one help page. Of the 27 active firms we track, 19 publish a country list you can read, and eight publish none.
At our last check, 18 of those 19 lists accepted Nigeria, 15 accepted Pakistan and all 19 accepted South Africa.
How access to crypto prop firms by country works
A restricted country is one whose residents a firm will not sell to or pay, as named in its terms, help centre or checkout. Access is not a simple yes or no. There are four states:
- Sanctioned. Every firm excludes countries under US, EU or UN sanctions.
- Commercially restricted. Firms drop countries for payment or legal reasons. FundingPips lists the UAE as restricted even though its own address is in Dubai.
- Capped or limited. E8 One is capped at $200,000 in India, Kenya, Vietnam and Indonesia. Mubite serves the US, UK, Canada and Singapore only on its Cleo platform.
- Unknown. A firm with no list has not said yes. "Not listed as restricted" is weaker than "accepted".
| Country | Firms that restrict it | Open (of 19 published lists) |
|---|---|---|
| Nigeria | Propr | 18 |
| South Africa | None | 19 |
| Kenya | AquaFunded | 18 |
| India | Kraken Prop | 18 |
| United Kingdom | Kraken Prop | 18 |
| Pakistan | E8 Markets, PropW, Propr, BrightFunded (new accounts) | 15 |
| United States | Fundedbit, HyperPNL, PropW, Upscale | 15 |
| United Arab Emirates | E8 Markets, FundingPips, SizeProp | 16 |
| Vietnam | AquaFunded, BrightFunded, Funded Trader Markets, FundingPips, SizeProp | 14 |
| Ethiopia | Breakout, E8 Markets, HyroTrader, Kraken Prop, PropW, Propr, SizeProp | 12 |
A cap or platform limit still counts as open in this table.
The country list applies when the firm checks your identity. That is before purchase at E8 Markets, at funding at The5ers and at the first payout at Goat Funded Trader. A failed check late in the process costs you the fee as well as the account.
Five checks for your country
- Read the list on the day you buy. Lists change. Mubite's own says it is "subject to updates".
- Find out when KYC happens. A check before purchase protects your fee. Our KYC guide explains the timing at each firm.
- Confirm the payout rail works where you live. USDT and USDC payouts, such as HyroTrader's, avoid local bank limits. Rise payouts depend on Rise's own country list.
- Read nationality and residence clauses. FTMO accepts Iranian, Syrian and Myanmar nationals only if they live in the EEA and hold an EEA bank account.
- Ask in writing if no list exists. A support reply is a record if access is disputed after you pass.
Notes on the most searched countries
Nigeria is open almost everywhere; only Propr names it. The real limit is the payout rail, so prefer stablecoin payouts.
Pakistan is more restricted than most, but 15 of 19 published lists still accept it, including Breakout, Velotrade, FTMO and The5ers.
The UAE is restricted by three firms, even though HyroTrader, Bitfunded, Fundedbit and Cointracts are incorporated there.
India, the UK and the US each depend on a few firms. Kraken Prop excludes India and the UK, but Breakout, the same programme under its own brand, does not. Each has its own page: India, UK and USA.
Trade-offs: published lists versus open wording
A firm with a precise list lets you check before paying, which is why E8 Markets ranks highly here despite its caps. A firm with a sanctions-only list, like Velotrade, is the most open of all, and its short list leaves little to interpret.
Eight firms leave the question open. TradeXProp serves all countries except OFAC-listed ones "unless otherwise limited". Cointracts excludes FATF, EU or UN-restricted jurisdictions. Klein Funding says its list is maintained on its website, but we could not find one. Crypto Fund Trader, Bitfunded, WenCrypto and Dolvero publish no list; Dolvero says it is open worldwide except sanctioned places. RebelsFunding names nine countries "and other countries".
If you are with one of these firms, get confirmation in writing. Then compare rules and payouts on the best crypto prop firms ranking, or read individual reviews such as Velotrade and E8 Markets.
Frequently asked questions
Do crypto prop firms accept traders from Nigeria?
Almost all do. Of the 19 firms with a published country list, only Propr names Nigeria as restricted.
Which crypto prop firm has the fewest country restrictions?
Mubite's terms name only Iran, North Korea and Myanmar, and Velotrade's list covers sanctioned jurisdictions only. Mubite routes some countries to its Cleo platform.
If my country is not on a firm's restricted list, am I accepted?
Not necessarily. Not being listed is weaker than being accepted. If a firm publishes no list, ask support and keep the reply in writing.
When do crypto prop firms check my country?
At identity verification, which happens before purchase at E8 Markets, at funding at The5ers and at the first payout at Goat Funded Trader.
