This crypto fund trader review looks at one of the longest-running crypto-first prop firms. Crypto Fund Trader offers up to 715 crypto pairs across MT5, Match-Trader and a Bybit venue, leverage up to 1:100 on larger accounts, and five account types from $40. Everything is demo capital, in the firm's own words. The firm publishes its rules and names its operator, but your first payout waits 15 trading days, and its "proof of reserves" page proves nothing.
What Crypto Fund Trader is and who runs it
The terms name SWISS RLCRATES AG, registered at Bahnhofstrasse 21 in Zug, Switzerland (CHE-162.567.204), with disputes heard by the Zug courts. Third-party listings give the CEO as Alan Sanchez and a founding date of November 2022; the firm's Instagram calls it the first crypto prop firm and claims more than $21 million in payouts.
The firm is direct about simulation: its FAQ says it is all demo with no real capital involved, including the funded stage. For context, read simulated vs real capital.
How the challenge works
| Model | Target | Daily loss | Maximum loss |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2-Phase | 8% then 5% | 5% | 10% static |
| 1-Phase | 10% | 4% | 6% trailing |
| Instant | 10% per scaling step | 4% | 6% fixed |
| Break | β | β | 40% best-day cap |
There are no minimum trading days and no time limit (an older process page mentions five days per phase, but the newer FAQ says none). The Instant plan skips the evaluation and scales from $2,500 up to $1,280,000 in 10% steps, which is where the firm's headline funding figure comes from. A separate Ascend model and the low-cost Break model round out the line-up, plus a $1 trial for a $1,000 2-Phase account sold in batches of 500.
The Bybit venue
At checkout you pick MT5, Match-Trader or Bybit. Choosing Bybit gives you a sub-account linked to the firm by API, and it is just as simulated as the other two. Four extra rules apply there: no adding funds, no touching the API connection, no spot trades, and only USDT pairs count. On Bybit you pay native Bybit fees with no markup; on MT5 and Match-Trader the firm charges 0.0325% per side. See our page on Bybit crypto prop firms for how others handle this.
The rules that matter most
Drawdown
The daily limit resets at 00:05 UTC from the account balance, so an open loss does not lower the next day's reference. On a $10,000 2-Phase, the daily limit is $500 and the floor stays at $9,000 no matter how much you earn. On a $10,000 1-Phase, the floor starts at $9,400 and rises with the balance: after a gain to $10,400 it sits at $9,776, so a $700 slide over three days ends the account even though no single day broke the limit. That trailing floor is the main reason the 1-Phase is cheaper. Model it in the drawdown calculator.
Consistency and other restrictions
Only Break accounts carry a consistency rule, a 40% single-day profit cap. No stop-loss is required on any model. Two less common rules catch traders who pass elsewhere: a $10,000 daily or per-trade profit cap, and a ban on opposite-direction trades held together for 60 seconds or more. Hedging across accounts and copy trading are prohibited. Combined allocation is capped at $300,000 across 1-Phase and 2-Phase accounts, and at three Instant accounts totalling $30,000. Read more in consistency rules.
Weekends and news
Weekend trading is allowed on every account and instrument. Positions held past the daily cut-off on MT5 or Match-Trader incur swap (about $3.40 per BTC lot per night in the firm's example); on Bybit only Bybit's funding rate applies. The firm does not publish a news rule.
Leverage
The terms grant 1:100 on MT5 and Match-Trader only to "Advanced" accounts: the $50,000 to $200,000 2-Phase and the $100,000 to $200,000 1-Phase. Every other account gets crypto at 1:5 on those platforms. Bybit accounts get up to 1:100. The FAQ claims 1:100 on all Break accounts, which contradicts the terms; we follow the terms. Our high-leverage list ranks the alternatives.
The pair count itself depends on which page you read. The challenge page claims more than 715 pairs on Bybit and more than 540 on MT5 and Match-Trader, while the FAQ gives 550-plus and 556. Either way the menu is large, but check that your specific coins are listed on the platform you pick before you pay. Gold returned to the instrument list in July 2026.
Costs and value per $10K
| Size | 1-Phase | 2-Phase | Ascend |
|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $40 | $58 | $45 |
| $10,000 | $80 | $110 | $90 |
| $50,000 | $369 | $389 | $450 |
| $100,000 | $619 | $660 | $899 |
| $200,000 | $1,199 | $1,250 | $1,798 |
Instant costs $125, $240 and $475 for $2,500, $5,000 and $10,000. Break costs $70, $139 or $199 upfront for $25K, $50K or $100K, plus $138, $198 or $328 after you pass. Counting a fee plus one failed attempt, the $100K Break works out to about $73 per $10,000, the $100K 1-Phase about $124, and the $10K Instant about $950. Add-ons cost 20% for weekly payouts, 20% for a 90% split, 15% for a 6% daily limit and 25% for a 12% maximum. No fee refund is published.

Identity checks happen before the first reward, not before funding. Instant accounts can withdraw on demand after 10% profit or 15 active days. On 20 September 2026 the firm announced that eligible requests are processed in under a minute.
The "Proof of Scholarship Reserves" page shows a reserve of $1,759,337.11 with no wallet address, bank detail or audit behind it. Treat it as a claim, not evidence.
No independent tracker lists the firm's payouts. A ForexPeaceArmy complaint from 30 July 2026 alleges a blocked payout. Trustpilot shows 1,101 reviews with the rating withheld after fake reviews were removed. See how crypto prop firm payouts work.
Recent rule changes
No rule or price changed in October 2026. The last firm announcement was the faster payout processing on 20 September.
Who Crypto Fund Trader suits, and who should avoid it
It suits traders who want maximum pair choice, a platform they already know, TradingView charts on Match-Trader and Bybit, and high leverage on bigger accounts. US residents can trade on Match-Trader and Bybit but not MT5. It is a weaker fit if you want fast first payouts or a floor that never trails on a single-phase account. Compare it with Crypto Fund Trader vs Breakout and HyroTrader vs Crypto Fund Trader.
Crypto fund trader review verdict
Crypto Fund Trader is an established, named Swiss operator with the broadest crypto menu and the most payout methods we track. The 15-day wait, the trailing 1-Phase floor, the profit cap and an unverifiable reserve page keep it out of the top tier. Our CryptoPropFirms score is 66 out of 100.
Frequently asked questions
Does Crypto Fund Trader use real Bybit accounts?
No. Bybit traders get a sub-account that the firm links by API, and the firm states that every account, funded ones included, is demo with no real capital involved.
How long until the first Crypto Fund Trader payout?
After 15 traded days or 30 calendar days on standard plans. A weekly payout add-on costs 20% of the evaluation price. Instant accounts can withdraw after 10% profit or 15 active days.
What leverage does Crypto Fund Trader offer on crypto?
Up to 1:100 on Bybit accounts and on larger "Advanced" MT5 and Match-Trader accounts; 1:5 on crypto for all other accounts on those two platforms.

Can US traders use Crypto Fund Trader?
Yes on Match-Trader and the Bybit venue. MT5 is not available to US residents.
