Crypto Fund Trader vs Breakout is a choice between breadth and simplicity. Crypto Fund Trader gives you MT5, Match-Trader or a Bybit sub-account, up to 715 crypto pairs plus forex and stocks, and five ways to get paid. Breakout gives you one terminal, about 60 crypto contracts, a $20 entry ticket and payouts whenever you ask. If you trade majors and want quick withdrawals, Breakout is the better buy. If you trade altcoins or want a familiar platform, Crypto Fund Trader is.

Quick verdict

Breakout wins on entry price, payout timing and rule simplicity: static floors on every standard plan, no consistency rule, and withdrawals from $50 on demand. Crypto Fund Trader wins on platforms, market coverage and payout rails, and it sells an Instant account that can scale to $1.28 million. Both firms run every phase on demo capital and say so openly, so that is not a deciding factor (see simulated vs real capital).

Cost per $10K

On sticker price Breakout's Turbo is the cheapest product in this pairing at every size. The fairer comparison is between static-floor plans: Crypto Fund Trader's 2-Phase (10% static) against Breakout's Classic (6% static). Breakout is cheaper up to $25,000; Crypto Fund Trader is cheaper from $50,000 up.

Plan $10K $100K Per $10K at $100K Floor
Breakout Turbo $40 $330 $33.00 3% static
Breakout Pro $65 $545 $54.50 5% static
Breakout Classic $85 $800 $80.00 6% static
CFT 1-Phase $80 $619 $61.90 6% trailing
CFT 2-Phase $110 $660 $66.00 10% static
CFT Break β€” $199 + $328 $52.70 40% consistency

The Break account looks cheap at $199, but a $328 activation fee after passing brings it to $527, and it carries a 40% single-day consistency cap. Crypto Fund Trader also sells a $1 trial for a $1,000 evaluation and a weekly-payout add-on. Breakout's add-on is the 90% split, and neither firm publishes a refund.

Crypto Fund Trader vs Breakout: rules head-to-head

Drawdown type by model

This is the row that changes outcomes. Crypto Fund Trader's 1-Phase trails: on a $10,000 account that climbs to $10,400, the floor rises from $9,400 to $9,776, so a $600 pullback to $9,800 leaves just $24 of room. At Breakout Classic the floor stays at $9,400 and the same pullback leaves $400. Crypto Fund Trader's 2-Phase avoids this with a static $9,000 floor. Read our trailing vs static drawdown guide if the difference is new to you.

If you want Crypto Fund Trader, buy the 2-Phase for the static floor. The cheaper 1-Phase only looks like a bargain until a winning trade pulls the floor up behind you.

Other rules

  • Daily limit. Crypto Fund Trader allows 5% (2-Phase) or 4% (1-Phase and Instant) from the balance at 00:05 UTC. Breakout allows 3% from the balance, excluding open positions, at 00:30 UTC.
  • Consistency. Only Crypto Fund Trader's Break account has one (40% of profit in one day). Breakout has none. See consistency rules explained.
  • Leverage. Crypto Fund Trader offers up to 1:100 on Bybit and on larger MT5/Match-Trader accounts, but only 1:5 on smaller accounts, Instant, Ascend and Break. Breakout offers 10x on BTC, 5x on majors and 2x–3x on smaller coins.
  • Weekends. Both allow weekend holding. Crypto Fund Trader charges overnight swaps on MT5 and Match-Trader (roughly $3.40 per BTC lot per night); on Bybit only the exchange funding rate applies.
  • Days and time. Zero minimum days at both, no time limit at either; Breakout suspends funded accounts after 90 days without a trade.

Payouts

Breakout pays on demand once you have $50 of profit after the split, approved in 12–24 hours, in USDC on Ethereum only. Crypto Fund Trader pays after 15 traded days or every 30 calendar days (weekly with the add-on), processes in about eight hours on average and up to 48 business hours, and offers bank transfer in EUR or USD, USDT on Ethereum or Tron, BTC or ETH.

Splits start at 50–80% at Crypto Fund Trader and 80% at Breakout; both top out at 90%. Breakout shows a public payout leaderboard. Crypto Fund Trader's "proof of reserves" page lists users' simulated performance rather than payments, so neither has independent payout proof.

Platforms and access

Crypto Fund Trader runs on MT5, Match-Trader and Bybit, with more than 900 instruments in total. Breakout runs only its own terminal with 63 markets. If you want to trade inside an exchange account, see our list of crypto prop firms that use Bybit.

Both firms accept US traders in some form. Crypto Fund Trader blocks MT5 for US residents but allows Match-Trader and Bybit. Breakout lists 24 restricted countries, none of them the US. Crypto Fund Trader is operated by SWISS RLCRATES AG in Zug; Breakout names two entities under the Kraken group.

Who should pick which

Choose Crypto Fund Trader if you:

  • trade altcoins beyond the top 60, or want forex and stocks on the same account;
  • prefer MT5, Match-Trader or a Bybit sub-account;
  • want a bank payout or USDT on Tron;
  • like the idea of an Instant account that scales in 10% steps.

Choose Breakout if you:

  • want withdrawals on demand rather than after 15 traded days;
  • want the cheapest one-step entry at $20;
  • want a static floor on every standard plan;
  • can take payment in USDC on Ethereum.
