This The5ers review is written for crypto traders. The5ers is a well-established forex prop firm that allows Bitcoin and Ethereum on every program it sells, but crypto is a side dish there: two CFDs on MT5, low leverage, and payout rules that cap crypto withdrawals. If you mainly trade currencies and want some BTC exposure, it can work. If crypto is your whole book, read on before buying.
Who runs The5ers
The firm says it has been running since 2016. Its terms name two companies called Five Percent Online Ltd: a UK company (number 12553363, at 168 Praed Street, London) and an Israeli one (515864007, in Ra'anana). The site footer names only the Israeli company. Oddly, Israel is on the list of restricted countries even though one operator is based there. It is not on the Reserve Bank of India's alert list.
Unlike most firms in our census, The5ers is not crypto-first. Crypto is one of five asset groups next to forex, metals, indices and oil. The trade-offs between those two kinds of firm are covered in crypto vs forex prop firms.
How the programs work
The5ers sells three evaluation families, and the crypto instruments are available on all of them.
| Program | Steps | Target | Daily loss | Max loss | Crypto leverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High Stakes New | 2 | 10%, then 5% | 5% (4% at $50K+) | 10% (8% at $50K+) | 1:2 |
| High Stakes Classic | 2 | 8%, then 5% | 5% (4% at $50K+) | 10% (8% at $50K+) | 1:2 |
| Pro / Hyper Growth | 1 | 10% | 3% daily pause | 6% | 1:0.60 |
| Bootcamp | 3 | 6% per step | none in evaluation, 3% funded | 5% eval, 4% funded | 1:0.60 |
High Stakes also needs three profitable days of at least 0.5% in each step. Growth and Bootcamp have no minimum days.
What you can trade
Two symbols: Bitcoin and Ethereum, each with a one-coin contract, a 0.01 lot minimum and a margin rate of 50. That is the smallest crypto menu of any multi-asset firm we track. Firms such as Crypto Fund Trader list hundreds of pairs by comparison.
The rules that matter most
Leverage and margin
This is where crypto traders get caught. On High Stakes, crypto runs at 1:2, so a position needs half its value as margin. On Growth and Bootcamp it is 1:0.60, meaning the margin required is about 167% of the position's value.
| Position | High Stakes margin | Growth / Bootcamp margin |
|---|---|---|
| 0.1 BTC lot at $80,000 | $4,000 | $13,333 |
| 1 BTC lot at $80,000 | $40,000 | $133,333 |
| 1 ETH lot at $2,700 | $1,350 | $4,500 |
A full Bitcoin lot simply cannot be opened on a $100,000 Growth account. Always read the margin figure MT5 shows before placing the order, as some traders have reported margin numbers that the published specs do not explain.
At 1:0.60, a crypto trade on Growth or Bootcamp needs more margin than the position is worth. Size accordingly.
Drawdown, news and weekends
Floors are static on every program. Use the drawdown calculator to see your exact limits.
- News: orders are banned from two minutes before to two minutes after high-impact releases, and that applies to crypto too.
- Weekends: BTC and ETH trade Saturday and Sunday from 00:10 to 23:50 EET, while forex and indices close. Weekend holding is allowed on every program. See weekend holding rules.
- Consistency and stop-loss: neither is described in the crypto material we reviewed.
Costs and value per $10K
The5ers is cheap to start. High Stakes New runs from $19 for $2,500 to $405 for $100,000; Classic from $22 to $455. Pro Growth costs $52 to $329, and Hyper Growth $260 to $850. The Bootcamp splits its fee: $22 upfront plus $50 on funding at $20,000, and $225 plus $350 at $250,000.
That $575 total for $250,000 is roughly $23 per $10,000, the lowest of any crypto-capable plan we track. High Stakes New at $100,000 is about $41 per $10K before resets.
Trading costs are less clear. Crypto carries a percentage commission on both sides at a rate The5ers does not publish, plus nightly swaps at an unpublished rate. Forex, by contrast, is $4 per lot round trip. Payment is by card in your own name or bank transfer; crypto is not accepted at checkout.
A seasonal Summer Plan has sold $100,000 accounts from $149 and $200,000 2-Step accounts from $249. Treat those as promotions rather than standard prices.
Payouts
Payouts run every 14 days, with the first 14 days after funding and a $150 minimum after the split. Crypto options are USDT on Tron, USDC on Ethereum, ETH and LTC, but each crypto withdrawal is capped at $1,500. Anything larger goes through Rise. A 3.5% commission comes off every withdrawal regardless of method.
On a $2,000 request, for example, the cap forces Rise and the fee takes $70, leaving $1,930. High Stakes also caps each payout at $3,000 on $50K accounts and $4,000 on $100K accounts. Firms that pay full rewards in stablecoins without per-withdrawal limits are on our crypto payout firms list.
KYC is done before funding, and the name must match both the ID and the card used to pay.
Recent changes
By 13 October 2026 The5ers added $200,000 accounts to its summer 2-Step, with a $3,000 cap per payout cycle (the $100,000 summer accounts keep a $2,000 cap). The summer refund also changed: the FAQ now pays the final 70% of the fee as hub credits at the third payout, while the plan page's refund box still says it is withdrawable. Earlier steps return 10% and then 20% of the fee as hub credit. Track updates in our rule change log.
Is The5ers legit?
Yes. It is an operating firm with a named operator, a long firm-stated history and a payout FAQ that spells out its caps and fees in plain numbers, which is more than many younger crypto firms offer. Two things keep it from a cleaner record in our checks: the two-company setup, with the footer naming only the Israeli entity, and the self-contradicting Summer Plan refund wording. We hold no independent third-party record of its payouts, so the evidence is the firm's own published terms. For how we weigh that kind of evidence, see are crypto prop firms legit.
Who it suits and who should avoid it
Suits: forex traders who want to add the odd BTC or ETH position, value a long track record, and like very low entry fees, especially on the Bootcamp.
Avoid if: you trade altcoins, need meaningful crypto leverage, want stablecoin payouts above $1,500 without a fee, or want to pay in crypto.
The5ers review verdict
The5ers is a legitimate, long-running firm with clear payout terms and some of the cheapest funding per dollar we have seen. As a crypto venue, though, it is thin: two coins, leverage that can fall below 1:1, an unpublished commission and a $1,500 crypto withdrawal cap. Our score of 75 reflects strong costs and access dragged down by payout terms. Crypto-only traders will be better served by a firm like Breakout.
