Crypto Prop Firms With Static Drawdown (No Trailing)
A floor that never chases your profits is worth a lot. Nine firms use one on every plan; 17 more mix static and trailing models.
Bybit or BloFin demo accounts, static limits, no stop-loss rule and USDT/USDC paid within 24 hours
Long-running forex firm with cheap programs, but only BTC and ETH CFDs and low crypto leverage
Cheap one-phase crypto challenges with no consistency rule, but a tight static floor and no payout ledger
Short rulebook, static floors and daily USDC payouts, but unverifiable contracts and a $25K ceiling
CoinW's prop product from $15, with static floors but capped 14-day payouts and a 10-day holding limit
Multi-phase forex firm with 17 crypto CFDs from $9, fixed floors, and crypto closed to new trades at weekends
Static drawdown on every plan and USDT payouts, but thin outside evidence that payouts arrive
White-label crypto challenge with a 90% split, but a two-way 3% daily cap and payouts once a month
Velotrade is the strongest of the crypto prop firms with static drawdown on every plan, with floors of 3%, 7% and 10% and an Arbiscan link for each payout. TradeXProp is the pick if you want a static floor with no minimum trading days, and RebelsFunding is the cheapest route to a wide static floor, at $29.34 per $10,000 on its largest Copper account. In October 2026, nine of 27 active firms used a static maximum drawdown on every model whose type they publish: Velotrade, TradeXProp, PropW, HyperPNL, SizeProp, HyroTrader, RebelsFunding, Bitfunded and The5ers.
What a static drawdown is
A static drawdown fixes your loss floor at a dollar level below the starting balance, and it never rises as you make money. On a $100,000 account with a 10% static floor, the floor stays at $90,000 whether you are at $95,000 or $110,000. Compare a 6% trailing floor: it starts at $94,000, but once you reach $104,000 it follows to $98,000, leaving $6,000 of room instead of $14,000. End-of-day trailing (FTMO's 1-Step) moves the same way, only at the daily close.
"Static" describes the maximum floor only. The daily limit and payout events can still move your effective room.
Two details still separate static firms. First, the daily limit: most reset from start-of-day balance or equity, but TradeXProp caps the day at 3% in both directions, so a 3% gain also stops you. Second, events that move a static floor anyway: E8 Pro's floor moves to the initial balance after the first payout, and Velotrade's Classic 2-step recalculates at the start of Phase 2. Worked examples are on our trailing vs static drawdown page.

HyroTrader joined the list with its October 2026 relaunch, which named a static floor on all three models. See the HyroTrader review.
Firm notes
Velotrade. Static from the starting balance on every plan; the catch is the qualifying-day rule, which only counts days closed 0.8% up. Read the Velotrade review.
TradeXProp. A white label of Prop Account, LLC, with 6% or 9% static floors and no minimum days. Its two-way daily cap undercuts its "pass in one day" marketing. Read the TradeXProp review.
SizeProp. The floor is unaffected by payouts, which is rare, but at 3% on Degen it is also the tightest. Read the SizeProp review.
HyperPNL. Its daily limit is fixed at 00:00 UTC and does not move intraday. Its 1-step page shows 5% in the heading and 9% in the body, so confirm before buying.
Mixed firms: the model decides
Seventeen firms sell static and trailing models side by side. Goat Funded Trader runs 10% static on both 2-Step plans but trails on Instant (6% GOAT, 5% HERO). Mubite keeps the maximum fixed for the whole evaluation on its two challenges, but its Instant floor locks once equity reaches +5%. Breakout and Kraken Prop are static except on Spark and Lite, which trail $1,500 below the highest closed balance. Propr's 1-Steps are static, its 2-Step trails. FTMO is static on 2-Step only.
Checklist
- Confirm the specific model you buy is static.
- Check whether the daily limit is static or moves with equity.
- Check what happens to the floor after a payout.
- Check the funded stage separately. WenCrypto's pay-later funded floor trails even though its evaluation floor is static.
- Compare width: a 3% static floor can end an account faster than a 10% trailing one. Model it with our drawdown calculator.
Trade-offs
Static floors reward traders who build a cushion early, because every dollar of profit becomes extra room. The cost is usually price or speed: the cheapest and fastest models at several firms are the trailing ones. If you scale in and hold through volatility, static is worth paying for. If you trade small and fast with tight stops, a trailing model may cost you little. For the full ranking, see the best crypto prop firms, and for daily limits specifically, our daily drawdown rules.
Frequently asked questions
Which crypto prop firms use only static drawdown?
Velotrade, TradeXProp, PropW, HyperPNL, SizeProp, HyroTrader, RebelsFunding, Bitfunded and The5ers, on every model whose floor type they publish.
Is static drawdown better than trailing?
For traders who build profit before taking risk, yes, because each dollar of profit adds room. A narrow static floor can still be harsher than a wide trailing one.
Can a static drawdown ever move?
Yes, at some firms. E8 Pro moves the floor to the initial balance after the first payout, and Velotrade recalculates at the start of Phase 2 on its Classic 2-step.
Does HyroTrader use static drawdown?
Yes. Since its October 2026 relaunch, all three models use a static floor: 5%, 6% and 10% by model.
