This TradeXProp review covers a crypto challenge sold by a white-label brand of Prop Account, LLC, run from Kuching in Malaysia. It pays a generous 90% split from the first payout, but it also enforces a daily cap that stops your winning days as well as your losing ones. That single rule shapes everything else, which is why it sits near the bottom of our rankings with a score of 37.
What TradeXProp is and who runs it
TradeXProp sells a crypto-only challenge in two versions, X-1 Step and X-2 Step, from $5,000 to $200,000, alongside forex and instant programs that this review does not cover. The firm calls itself "an affiliate of Prop Account, LLC". Evaluation fees go to Prop Account, LLC; funded traders sign with Prop Account LC; and the wider group includes Prop Account Cayman LC and Forest Park FX LTD, trading as Dashboard Analytix.
Its Trustpilot contact address is in Kuching, its category there is "Educational Institution", and the homepage says it has operated since 2023. In its own documents the product is a demo evaluation with a virtual profit split, and the funded account is "notionally-funded". The firm describes itself as unregulated. The differences between this kind of setup and a crypto-native firm are covered in crypto vs forex prop firms.
How the challenge works
| Plan | Target | Daily cap | Max loss (static) |
|---|---|---|---|
| X-1 Step | 9% | ±3% | 6% |
| X-2 Step | 6%, then 9% | ±3% | 9% |
You trade on Match-Trader, DXtrade or cTrader. After passing, you complete KYC and sign a Trader Agreement with Prop Account LC before the funded account is issued. There is no time limit, but 30 days without a trade breaches the account.
The rules that matter most
The two-way daily cap
This is the defining rule. If equity moves more than 3% of the starting balance away from the previous day's equity in either direction, positions are closed and the account is locked until the next trading day starts at 5 PM New York time.
On a $10,000 X-1 Step account that means a $300 band either side of yesterday's equity. Close a day at $10,200 and tomorrow's band runs from $9,900 to $10,500. Run up to $10,510 and you are locked out exactly as you would be at $9,890.
The cap limits profit as well as loss. A 9% target needs at least three trading days, and the X-2 Step needs at least five, whatever the "Pass in 1 Day" card says.
The static maximum floor is separate: $9,400 on that account, and it never moves. See how other firms handle daily limits in daily drawdown rules, or plug your numbers into the drawdown calculator.
Consistency, stop-loss, weekends and news
- Consistency: the offer card shows a 45% consistency score and the FAQ mentions a funded account "with Consistency Rule"; the crypto pages do not spell it out.
- Stop-loss: not required. No per-trade cap is published.
- Weekends: positions can be held over the weekend.
- News: you cannot open a position within three minutes before or after a news event, and the firm decides what counts. The "no hidden rules" marketing does not mention this.
- Hedging: fine within one account; reverse or group hedging across accounts is banned.
- Copy trading: only between your own accounts. Signal services, group trading, passing services and EAs that enable copying are prohibited.
- Gambling: "all-in" trades and excessive leverage are banned, and orders can be refused.
Leverage tops out at 5:1 on crypto-versus-USD symbols, from AAVE and ADA through BTC and ETH. The firm does not publish a symbol count. Its FAQ also says the funded account is notional and may not match any capital held with its liquidity provider, which is worth knowing when the homepage talks about being "backed by our capital". Our guide to simulated vs real capital explains the difference.
Costs and value per $10K
| Size | X-1 Step | X-2 Step |
|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $45 | $35 |
| $10,000 | $95 | $80 |
| $25,000 | $250 | $210 |
| $50,000 | $525 | $430 |
| $100,000 | $1,050 | $900 |
| $200,000 | $2,150 | $2,000 |
Counting the fee plus one reset, X-2 Step runs from $140 per $10,000 at $5K to $200 at $200K, and X-1 Step from $180 to $215. Unusually, bigger accounts cost more per unit of funding, and the $200,000 tier is more than double the $100,000 one. The smallest account is the best value.
A 40% evaluation promotion was live at our last check; we record list prices. Refunds are possible only before any trade is placed, and not once login details are emailed. The one add-on is Payout Protector, sold for the funded stage, which lets you take a payout on accumulated gains after a hard breach. See how this compares on the cheapest crypto prop firms list.
Payouts
The split is 90%. You can request a withdrawal from the dashboard no more than once every 30 days, paid in crypto or in fiat through Riseworks. The card promises an "Instant First Payout" that the FAQ never defines. No minimum or processing time is published; one reviewer reported a bank payment arriving in eight hours in April 2025.
Before paying, the risk team reviews account activity for copy trading and group hedging. In August 2026 two one-star reviews described denied payouts, one from a trader with several previous withdrawals, and the firm's reply cited those rules without explaining how it detected them. That sits awkwardly beside its "zero denied payouts" claim. No independent on-chain tracker lists the firm. Run the numbers with the payout calculator.
Recent changes
The firm itself changed nothing in October 2026. Our own record was updated to note that copy trading is permitted between a trader's own accounts, to add the 45% consistency score from the offer card, and to log the 2023 founding year. Every update is in the rule change log.
Who can join
The FAQ allows traders from all countries except OFAC-listed ones, "unless otherwise limited at the Company's discretion". No list names the US either way, so we treat US access as unpublished. Terms also let the company block any trader "for any reason", which places funding of a passed evaluation at its discretion.
Who it suits and who should avoid it
Suits: steady traders who already aim for small daily gains, like a 90% split, and are happy to withdraw monthly.
Avoid if: you trade momentum or news, want frequent payouts, or need clear payout terms. Scalpers who stack big days will hit the cap constantly.
TradeXProp review verdict
TradeXProp is a legitimate, operating firm: the fee-taking company is named, rules are in a public FAQ, and reviewers describe repeated payouts. But its marketing contradicts its rulebook in several places, its payout terms are thin, and the two-way cap makes it slower to pass than almost any rival. If you want a cleaner rulebook, compare Breakout or Velotrade.
