HyroTrader vs Breakout is mostly a question of where you want to trade. HyroTrader runs your challenge on your own Bybit or BloFin demo account through an API (or on its Hyro platform), so you keep the exchange interface, pairs and leverage you already know. Breakout runs everything on its own terminal inside the Kraken group. HyroTrader wins on payout proof, the fee refund and drawdown room. Breakout wins on price and on rules that never get in the way of a big day.

Quick verdict

Pick HyroTrader if you trade on Bybit, expect to reach a funded account, and want proof that payouts happen. Its One- and Two-Step fees come back with your first payout, and Solana payouts are published with transaction IDs. Pick Breakout if you want the lowest possible entry ($20 for $5,000), no consistency rule and no minimum days. Both firms run simulated accounts in every phase, according to their own terms.

Cost per $10K

Breakout's Turbo is cheaper than any HyroTrader plan at every size. Against HyroTrader's One-Step, Breakout's Classic (the same 6% maximum loss) is cheaper up to $50,000, while HyroTrader is $51 cheaper at $100,000.

Plan $5K $10K $100K Per $10K at $100K
HyroTrader Two-Step $59 $119 $579 $57.90
HyroTrader One-Step $69 $129 $749 $74.90
HyroTrader Zero-Step $89 $169 $949 $94.90
Breakout Turbo $20 $40 $330 $33.00
Breakout Classic $45 $85 $800 $80.00

The refund changes the maths. If you pass and get paid, HyroTrader returns the One- or Two-Step fee alongside the first payout, so your net cost is zero. Breakout keeps every fee, and its 90% split costs extra at checkout. If you expect several failed attempts, Breakout's low price matters more; if you expect to pass, HyroTrader effectively costs nothing. Our code PROPRUBRIC takes 2% off HyroTrader.

HyroTrader vs Breakout: rules head-to-head

Daily limit

HyroTrader allows 5% on the Two-Step, 4% on the One-Step and 3% on the Zero-Step, measured from equity at 00:00 UTC and fixed for the day. Breakout allows 3%, recalculated at 00:30 UTC from the balance excluding open positions. On a $10,000 One-Step that rises to $10,400 by midday, HyroTrader's floor stays at $9,600, so a $450 drop leaves $350 of room; Breakout's floor sits at $9,700 and the same drop leaves $250. See our daily drawdown guide for the mechanics.

Maximum loss

Both use static floors. HyroTrader gives 10% (Two-Step), 6% (One-Step) or 5% (Zero-Step). Breakout gives 6% (Classic), 5% (Pro) or 3% (Turbo).

Consistency and minimum days

This is where Breakout pulls ahead. HyroTrader caps any single evaluation day at 40% of the profit target (one trade at 50% on Zero-Step). Excess profit stays in the account but does not count toward passing. It also asks for five trading days per phase (one on Zero-Step). Breakout has neither rule. The consistency calculator shows how close your best day comes to the cap.

If your edge comes from one or two outsized days, Breakout's rulebook suits you better. If it comes from steady sessions, HyroTrader's cap will rarely bite and the refund is worth more.

Leverage

HyroTrader inherits exchange leverage: up to 150x on BTC and ETH and 50x–100x on most pairs. Breakout caps BTC at 10x, majors at 5x and smaller coins at 2x–3x. Neither firm caps the loss on a single trade; HyroTrader dropped its cap in the October 2026 relaunch.

Payouts

Both firms put the outer limit at 24 hours, so neither is clearly faster. HyroTrader processes within 24 hours (its dashboard reported an average of 15h 56m on 27 October 2026) in USDT or USDC on networks including Solana and Tron, from $100 after the split. Each request is capped at 5% of the initial balance, and anything above that is lost when the account resets after the payout. Breakout approves in 12–24 hours, from $50, in USDC on Ethereum only, with no cap.

Splits start at 80% at both. HyroTrader reaches 90% on One- and Two-Step (80% on Zero-Step); Breakout reaches 90% via an add-on. For proof, HyroTrader publishes Solana payouts with transaction IDs (about $9.2 million paid since 2023 by its own count), while Breakout publishes a leaderboard without on-chain links.

Platforms and access

HyroTrader connects to Bybit or BloFin demo accounts or runs on its Hyro platform; Tealstreet and Tiger.com terminals are available outside the US. Breakout uses the Breakout Terminal only. Both verify identity before the funded account. HyroTrader states that US residents are welcome and publishes its restricted list; Breakout simply leaves the US off its 24-country list.

On trust, the two firms are strong in different ways. HyroTrader is run by HYRO TECHNOLOGIES FZ-LLC in the UAE, with a British Virgin Islands company handling the funded phase, and its payout feed lets you check transfers yourself. Breakout is sold by a Delaware company and funded through Payward Oceanic, part of the Kraken group, which is a strong ownership signal even without on-chain payout links.

Who should pick which

Choose HyroTrader if you:

  • already trade on Bybit and want the same interface and leverage;
  • expect to get funded and want the fee back;
  • want USDT or USDC payouts within 24 hours with on-chain proof;
  • want up to 5% daily and 10% overall room on the Two-Step.

Choose Breakout if you:

  • want the cheapest entry, $20 for $5,000;
  • have large single winning days that a consistency cap would slow down;
  • do not want minimum trading days;
  • can be paid in USDC on Ethereum.

Read the HyroTrader review and Breakout review for the full rulebooks. If neither fits, try the HyroTrader alternatives, the Breakout alternatives, or our Bybit prop firms list.

Frequently asked questions

Is HyroTrader or Breakout cheaper?

Breakout is cheaper on sticker price: $20 for $5,000 on Turbo against $59 for the HyroTrader Two-Step. But HyroTrader refunds the One- and Two-Step fee with your first payout, so a funded trader pays nothing in the end.

Does HyroTrader have a consistency rule?

Yes, during the evaluation only. No single day can count for more than 40% of the profit target (one trade can count for at most 50% on Zero-Step). Funded accounts have no consistency rule. Breakout has none at any stage.

Which firm offers higher leverage?

HyroTrader, because it uses exchange leverage: up to 150x on BTC and ETH on Bybit and BloFin. Breakout caps BTC at 10x.

Which pays out faster?

Both quote 24 hours as the outer limit. HyroTrader pays in USDT or USDC with on-chain IDs for Solana payouts, capped at 5% of the initial balance per request. Breakout pays USDC on Ethereum with no cap.

Is there a HyroTrader discount code?

Yes. PROPRUBRIC takes 2% off any HyroTrader challenge.
